Accountant - accounts payable (Salt Lake City, UT)

We are growing our team at Nova Cedar Hospitality and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be accounts payable. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Salt Lake City. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around reviews and feedback against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to supplier orders, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Salt Lake City. • We reply to every applicant.
