Accountant - accounts payable (Salt Lake City, UT)

We are growing our team at Silverline Vista Community Partners and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be accounts payable. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to client intake, and clear open items. • Track costs around benefits enrolment against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with client intake. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Salt Lake City. • We reply to every applicant.
