Accountant - accounts payable (Sacramento, CA)

Amberfield Corner Auto Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on accounts payable for warranty claims, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to warranty claims, and clear open items. • Track costs around service appointments against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with warranty claims. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Sacramento, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
