Accountant - accounts payable (Sacramento, CA)

We are growing our team at Cedar Ridge Manufacturing and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be accounts payable. You would join a small organisation of about 130 people based in Sacramento. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to production lines, and clear open items. • Track costs around tooling against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with production lines.
