Accountant - accounts payable (Sacramento, CA)

Silverline Stone Care Services is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on accounts payable for client records, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We train and promote from within. What you will do • Track costs around visit scheduling against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with client records. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Sacramento. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
