Accountant - accounts payable (Rochester, NY)

Redstone Haven Medical designs and makes medical devices in Rochester. We are hiring an Accountant to take on accounts payable. You would join a small organisation of about 26 people based in Rochester. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to regulatory submissions, and clear open items. • Track costs around training materials against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with regulatory submissions. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Rochester. • We reply to every applicant.
