Accountant - accounts payable (Richmond, VA)

Highbridge Willow Medical Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on accounts payable for production lots, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to production lots, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around training materials against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with production lots. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Richmond, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
