Accountant - accounts payable (Reno, NV)

We are growing our team at Rivermark Corner Auto Group and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be accounts payable. Customers come back because we explain what they need and what they do not. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to warranty claims, and clear open items. • Track costs around vehicle inspections against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Reno, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
