Accountant - accounts payable (Reno, NV)

Cedar Hollow Environmental Services Group is an environmental-services company in Reno with routes, transfer stations and recycling, and we need an Accountant to lead our accounts payable. Early starts and steady work; we look after our drivers. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to recycling loads, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with recycling loads. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Reno. • We reply to every applicant.
