Accountant - accounts payable (Reno, NV)

We are growing our team at Greenridge Juniper Banking Services and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be accounts payable. You would join a large organisation of about 511 people based in Reno. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around fraud alerts against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with deposit accounts. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Reno. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
