Accountant - accounts payable (remote)

Harborlight Wilder Medical is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on accounts payable for production lots, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 170 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Track costs around training materials against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to production lots, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with production lots. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in New Orleans. • We reply to every applicant.
