Accountant - accounts payable (remote)

Ironwood Linden Banking Services is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on accounts payable for branch operations, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We promote from within and train well. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to branch operations, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around loan files against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with branch operations. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Salt Lake City. • We reply to every applicant.
