Accountant - accounts payable (remote)

Westbrook Ivory Facilities looks after properties across the Dallas region, and we need an Accountant to lead our accounts payable. Our crews keep other people's buildings running and we treat them well. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around supply orders against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with safety inspections. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Dallas. • We reply to every applicant.
