Accountant - accounts payable (remote)

Ironwood Quill Telecom is a telecommunications provider in San Jose focused on reliable home and business connections. We are hiring an Accountant to take on accounts payable. We invest in training. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around billing accounts against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to service installations, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with service installations. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in San Jose. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
