Accountant - accounts payable (remote)

Nova Cross Health provides primary and specialty care in Jacksonville. We are hiring an Accountant to take on accounts payable. Continuing education is supported. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around electronic records against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with patient scheduling. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Jacksonville. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
