Accountant - accounts payable (remote)

Greenridge Field Financial provides savings, lending and payment services from Indianapolis, and we need an Accountant to lead our accounts payable. Trust is the product, so accuracy and clarity matter. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to account servicing, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with account servicing. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Indianapolis. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
