Accountant - accounts payable (remote)

Westbrook Juniper Foods is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on accounts payable for ingredient orders, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Track costs around cold storage against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to ingredient orders, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with ingredient orders. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Tampa. • We reply to every applicant.
