Accountant - accounts payable (remote)

Silverline Sable Manufacturing Group is a Phoenix manufacturer supplying regional industrial customers, and we need an Accountant to lead our accounts payable. You would join a small organisation of about 19 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to work orders, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with work orders. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Phoenix. • We reply to every applicant.
