Accountant - accounts payable (remote)

Stonegate Cross Facilities Group looks after properties across the Kansas City region, and we need an Accountant to lead our accounts payable. Bilingual teams are common. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to safety inspections, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around work orders against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Kansas City. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
