Accountant - accounts payable (remote)

Silverline Ember Medical builds devices used by hospitals and clinics, with its team based in Jacksonville, and we need an Accountant to lead our accounts payable. You would join a small organisation of about 175 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around complaint handling against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to production lots, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with production lots. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Jacksonville. • We reply to every applicant.
