Accountant - accounts payable (remote)

Harborlight Summit Pharma Group develops and makes medicines in Charlotte. We are hiring an Accountant to take on accounts payable. People move between science and operations roles. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around cleanroom operations against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with regulatory filings. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Charlotte. • We reply to every applicant.
