Accountant - accounts payable (remote)

Greenridge Timber Construction Partners is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on accounts payable for project schedules, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to project schedules, and clear open items. • Track costs around subcontractor invoices against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Fresno. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
