Accountant - accounts payable (remote)

Redstone Junction Housing Group manages affordable housing communities across Oklahoma City. We are hiring an Accountant to take on accounts payable. We value patience and follow-through. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to maintenance stores, and clear open items. • Track costs around repair requests against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Oklahoma City. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
