Accountant - accounts payable (remote)

Harborlight Ivory Health Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on accounts payable for insurance authorisations, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 107 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around patient education against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Omaha. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
