Accountant - accounts payable (remote)

Redstone Lakeside Energy is an energy provider in Nashville focused on reliable service and fair billing. We are hiring an Accountant to take on accounts payable. You would join a large organisation of about 229 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to billing disputes, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with billing disputes. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Nashville. • We reply to every applicant.
