Accountant - accounts payable (remote)

Ironwood Pike Pharma supports drug development and manufacturing around Minneapolis, and we need an Accountant to lead our accounts payable. You would join a small organisation of about 16 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to clinical studies, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Minneapolis. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
