Accountant - accounts payable (remote)

We are growing our team at Harborlight Field Manufacturing and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be accounts payable. Shifts are steady and overtime is planned. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around production lines against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with work orders. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Fresno. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
