Accountant - accounts payable (remote)

Bluepeak Fox Medical Group is a Savannah company producing monitoring and surgical equipment. We are hiring an Accountant to take on accounts payable. You would join a small organisation of about 18 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around regulatory submissions against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Savannah. • We reply to every applicant.
