Accountant - accounts payable (remote)

We are growing our team at Foxglove Keystone Inspection Services and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be accounts payable. Training and certification are paid for. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to scheduling, and clear open items. • Track costs around test reports against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Richmond. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
