Accountant - accounts payable (remote)

Ironwood Loom Auto Group operates automotive service and parts businesses around Omaha. We are hiring an Accountant to take on accounts payable. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Track costs around supplier deliveries against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to parts orders, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with parts orders. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Omaha. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
