Accountant - accounts payable (remote)

Westbrook Junction Housing Partners manages affordable housing communities across Colorado Springs, and we need an Accountant to lead our accounts payable. You would join a small organisation of about 154 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around waiting lists against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to resident services, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with resident services. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Colorado Springs. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
