Accountant - accounts payable (Portland, OR)

Rivermark Linden Legal Group Partners is a law firm in Portland serving businesses and individuals. We are hiring an Accountant to take on accounts payable. Confidentiality and accuracy are taken very seriously. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around trust accounts against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with billing records. • Familiarity with audit requirements.
