Accountant - accounts payable (Pittsburgh, PA)

Summit Granite Pharma supports drug development and manufacturing around Pittsburgh, and we need an Accountant to lead our accounts payable. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to cleanroom operations, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with cleanroom operations. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Pittsburgh. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
