Accountant - accounts payable (Pittsburgh, PA)

Bright Quill Banking Services Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on accounts payable for loan files, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Pittsburgh. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around branch operations against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with loan files. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Pittsburgh. • We reply to every applicant.
