Accountant - accounts payable (Pittsburgh, PA)

Westbrook Summit Construction Group builds commercial and industrial projects around Pittsburgh. We are hiring an Accountant to take on accounts payable. Site safety is non-negotiable. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around safety records against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to subcontractor invoices, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with subcontractor invoices.
