Accountant - accounts payable (Pittsburgh, PA)

Rivermark Pine Financial provides savings, lending and payment services from Pittsburgh, and we need an Accountant to lead our accounts payable. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Pittsburgh. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around regulatory reports against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with customer onboarding. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Pittsburgh. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
