Accountant - accounts payable (Pittsburgh, PA)

Nova Forge Foods is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on accounts payable for cold storage, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 349 people based in Pittsburgh. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Pittsburgh. • We reply to every applicant.
