Accountant - accounts payable (Orlando, FL)

We are growing our team at Rivermark Lakeside Telecom and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be accounts payable. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to billing accounts, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around field visits against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with billing accounts. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Orlando. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
