Accountant - accounts payable (Orlando, FL)

Redstone Ridge Auto Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on accounts payable for service appointments, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 733 people based in Orlando. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with service appointments. • A degree or certificate in accounting.
