Accountant - accounts payable (Omaha, NE)

Greenridge Mill Health is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on accounts payable for insurance authorisations, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 347 people based in Omaha. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around patient scheduling against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to insurance authorisations, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with insurance authorisations. • A degree or certificate in accounting.
