Accountant - accounts payable (Omaha, NE)

Nova Bridge Telecom is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on accounts payable for customer tickets, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Omaha. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around service installations against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with customer tickets. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Omaha, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
