Accountant - accounts payable (New Orleans, LA)

Stonegate Vale Financial Partners is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on accounts payable for loan applications, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Trust is the product, so accuracy and clarity matter. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to loan applications, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with loan applications. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in New Orleans. • We reply to every applicant.
