Accountant - accounts payable (Nashville, TN)

We are growing our team at Silverline Pike Learning Group and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be accounts payable. Families are partners. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to family communication, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with family communication.
