Accountant - accounts payable (Nashville, TN)

Westbrook Technologies is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on accounts payable for clinic supplies, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 782 people based in Nashville. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to clinic supplies, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Nashville, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
