Accountant - accounts payable (Nashville, TN)

Clearpath Rowan Environmental Services serves homes and businesses with collection and disposal in Nashville. We are hiring an Accountant to take on accounts payable. You would join a small organisation of about 167 people based in Nashville. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around weigh tickets against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to service complaints, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with service complaints. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Nashville, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
