Accountant - accounts payable (Milwaukee, WI)

We are growing our team at Cedar Pine Medical and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be accounts payable. Engineers and clinicians sit at the same table. What you will do • Track costs around device records against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to clinical evaluations, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Milwaukee, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
