Accountant - accounts payable (Miami, FL)

We are growing our team at Stonegate Basin Foods Group and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be accounts payable. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Miami. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to sanitation schedules, and clear open items. • Track costs around allergen controls against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with sanitation schedules. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Miami. • We reply to every applicant.
