Accountant - accounts payable (Miami, FL)

Nova Iron Property Management Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on accounts payable for lease renewals, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Residents are neighbours, not numbers. What you will do • Track costs around rent collection against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to lease renewals, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with lease renewals. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Miami, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
