Accountant - accounts payable (Miami, FL)

Ironwood Ridge Property Management manages apartment communities around Miami, and we need an Accountant to lead our accounts payable. Maintenance and leasing staff share information every day. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to unit turnovers, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around vendor invoices against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Miami. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
