Accountant - accounts payable (Miami, FL)

Westbrook Lakeside Banking Services is a regional lender in Miami with branches and a growing mobile service, and we need an Accountant to lead our accounts payable. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around account openings against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with card disputes. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Miami. • We reply to every applicant.
